How To Kill A Gang Of Fades?

Im used to play as aliens as a fade or slulk, but im forced to go marines to even things out, i kinda suck <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Im pretty good with a shotty and can kill a fade 1 on 1 if i can get in a good spot(i play like a skulk when im a marine), When im with my squad with my shotgun and the enemy has 2 hives and there is a gang of fades we get wiped....and most commanders say that shotguns are a waste of res...

I pretty need strats to kill fades/onos..

    errmm... lemme think..

    Have one guy with a gren launcher, shove a few there way, and while the explosions are going off, rush in with the rest of the marines, with teh gren launcher dude constantly spaming the marines with grens to prevent pesky skulks going in..

    yeah its hard..

    You don't. When they get fades, you lose. The aliens getting the second hive completed and all members accumulating enough resources to get fades (and one lerk) signals the end of the game.

    Erm, no. I've seen fades beaten back before. Several times. And by beaten back I mean the aliens were reduced to 1-hive status.

    Rule 1 for dealing with fades: Charge them.

    Rule 2 for dealing with fades: Don't stay in base follow them

    Rule 3 for dealing with fades: Use the LMG a whole clip can kill one

    Rule 4 for dealing with fades: Follow them when they run away, they are unable to attack back with no adrenaline

    erm, no I wouldn't aim for the head. firstly, NS doesn't have 'headshots' (a hit anywhere does the same amt of dmg) and also, the fade model seems to be quirky when it comes to hit detection... a bullet might go right through the fade's head! I'd aim for the chest, I guess.

    NADES FOR FADES. Whenever we're being attacked by fades, I yell for a nade launcher (if there's enough res)... I'm eerily accurate with the nade launcher (I can nail skulks with it! woo!) If n00bs shoot nades at Fades, they might not kill it, and it'll just run, regen, and come back for more. A few good lmg or jetpack marines rushing into the fray can finish off anything thats retreating from a good nading, though. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Flank them. A fade that can't run is in trouble.

    Two decent marines running out of the base with decent accuracy lmg fire totally owns fades. If it somehow survives the two clips, then take out the pistol and finish the fade. Get close to the fade if you can, as they can no longer run if they are close, and even it is a gamble whether they can kill you before you die.
    If they have lerks however, kiss your **obscenity** goodbye.
    I still cannot think of a decent solution to lerks+fades...

    if you have a sneaky commander, get half of his marines to go play with the fades while the other half go sneak up on the hive farthest from where the fades are attacking and siege it.

    i've done this a few times and won the game(and i only dropped about 3 hmgs for the marines to play with the fades)
