I think it's about 7 or 8 years ago I played NS for the very first time and it was the most fun I had in a game like that.
It was quite the adrenlina kick to be a alien running up on the walls and upside down against few marines.
And I really enjoyed the part as a marine where you build your own base and work from there. We had alot of "experiements" as me being the commander, he he.

I have to say I just found out about Natural Selection 2, today. By accident. And I'm very excited about this!
I've seen the trailer and it said "Fall of 2009" - and soon there is no more left of 2009. So I guess that ain't going to happen ;)

But is there any alpha, beta testing going on today or soon?
And since it said "Fall of 2009" in the offical trailer - will this mean the game will come out soon rather then later? Like fall of 2010 (<i>that would be later</i>).

    Hello.

    Alpha or beta testing haven't commenced yet and the dev team has not set a date for it to begin. They're official answer is "hopefully soon". At the moment, the only thing available is the spark editor, which is a pretty nifty tool.

    I wonder why you didn't know about this place earlier.

    I can't say I have been on the "gaming front" lately, simply forgot about NS long time ago.
    But now to find out the "resurrection" of this awsome game is just.. awsome! :)

    I'm affraid that people forgot about NS once both of blizzard game will come out..
    Like Starcraft 2, diablo3 and the next MMORPG
    It's now that there isnt any nice game to play, it would have been a good idea to release something.. at least an alpha so people can have something to think about.

    You'd be lucky to see SC2 by christmas 2010 .. D3 is probably late fall 2011 ..

    SC2 beta is technically ready now, however, they want to release it with the battle.net revamp which is why the SC2 beta got delayed. SC2 and B.Net betas are to be released Q1 2010. I really doubt we'll see SC2 in beta for ~9 months.

    This is NS, we run on Valve time. Expect NS2 some time in 2012. That's the direct translation for "Fall 2009" Valve time.

    On a normal studio, they're thousand of employyees an can manage to make benefit.
    With a such great game like NS2, why they don't recruit some extra people to help ?
    on a 4 ppl team, just 1 more means the game will come out 25% earlier..

    Even in old games like DOOM, they were 10 ppl.
