Update works fine for me, but I still cannot use the digits "8" and "9" on my keyboard.
When I hit the keys on my keyboard the number just is not written out. I have to write it
to a .txt fiel an copy it in. Using Windows' onscreen keyboard gives me the same issue.

And yeah the whole texture editing system is a real impertinence right now. Needs to be much more VHE-like.
But I heard it's being worked on so I don't mean to [-]######[/-] swear.
    ;)

    Did you try the numpad?
8 and 9 seem to be registered as [ and ] on european keyboards (like mine), so you'll have to change the keyboard binding that uses those. I believe it's the thinner/coarser grid things.

Yeah I just noticed 8 and 9 changes the movement snap. :o
I removed the binding in the settings and now 8 and 9 from the digit row on the keyboard work fine as well.
    Thanks. ;)

Mine was working fine till the update - now I get the black textures bug. Its... Quite limiting.

    Running:
    Windows 7 RTM
    Core 2 duo
    ATI 4870 - I don't know what drivers, I'll update them tonight.

I'll also try re-installing, and running the program as admin when it updates.

After the update i cannot access the prop viewer now; the texture and entity viewer still appear to be working fine.

    Windows XP with SP 3
    Intel Quad Core 2 Q9550
    3.25 GB of RAM
    Geforce GTX 280

I attempted restarting Spark; no change.

I don't know if it will work or not, but you could try deleting %appdata%\Natural Selection 2\Editor (backup options.xml if you want, which has the button shortcuts and window layouts)

Cool, I'm kinda curious what the dds settings are for the normal map. Mine seem to fade out when I get to close or go to far away, while the NS2 textures do no such thing :(

I noticed they fixed some issues with the Square Tool, but there are still alot of bugs using it. It took me an hour to make a hole in a cylinder... ><

Yeah holes in cylinders are major pain. I found that if you extruded the cylinder then tried to make a hole in part it screws up in various ways. You can get it to work a little better by extruding the cylinder to the size of the hole you want, make your hole, then extrude the cylinder the rest of the way afterwards...
