Female Marine Model

Sushi FX I think it was?
I just noticed the 3 locked "female marine" threads... and it got me thinking...
What happened to the female marine model that was made back in NS1? I think it was SushiFX? It was b-e-a-utiful... the core model (Woman's body + undergarments), then the under-armor was modeled, and finally the armor and helmet was added in.
It was something crazy like 6 mil poly's or something... but it was incredible.
Why not use that? It was pretty well realistic, and I felt the armor was right for a "full body" female nanosuit similar to what the male marines wore.
Obvious differences between males and females:
Crotch areas
Chest plates
Waist Area
Shoulders
Pivot Points
As such, no, the female marine armor can NOT be the same as the male marine armor... it wouldn't work and they would be uncomfortable and unable to move properly. Face it ya'll... girls are shaped different than guys... hell, to quote a now-famous Arnold movie "Boys have a penis. Girls have a vagina." (Yes, I just dug up the daddy day care quote...)
Same idea.
Women in general have smaller shoulders, a thinner waist, a larger chest, and (99.9% of the time anyway) a different crotch design. They also have different arm and leg dimensions, resulting in their limbs pivoting at slightly different points.
As such, their ARMOR would be designed different.
Also, to put my .02 in, females are generally not allowed to be "front line" soldiers in the USA for one simple reason - it's not that they are not capable of doing the job, or are weaker, or any bull**** like that. It's because the male brain is WIRED to protect women (at least in those that are not raving psycho lunatic rapists). As such, the fear is that a male solider would put himself in greater danger WITHOUT THINKING to protect a female counterpart where as he would think it through with a male compatriot. While I won't argue the merits of this style of thought, that is what it is. Granted, they are also a little worried about relationships forming in the military, but again, for the same reason.
Now, if we can keep this thread on track and on topic, I'm sure we can have a logical, meaningful discussion about this.
How should the female marine model be worked?
I personally think they should be slightly shorter than the male marine (to help differentiate) with a different helmet setup (instead of the chest mounted light, have them on the helmet). Chest-plate I think should be the one-size-fits-all design (as, really, does the military have time to measure your bust and custom-make armor? I dun think so), but it should be something that looks like the gal could wear it without chafing in unpleasant ways. Same thing with the rest of the armor.
BTW, I'll try to find a picture of the SushiFX model.

But, seriously. Nanites.
One size fits all: Nanites adapt an off-the-shelf armor right to what a Soldier needs.

not gonna happen. it used a completely different way of rendering not one freaggin engine can use, and one that uses that needs to run on a supercomputer

Wrong. Don't pretend you know what you're talking about and perpetuating this sexist portrayal of women in games as having giant boob armor and slimming features.
Humans come in all shapes and sizes, both male and female. Flak vests, body armor and the like are usually unisex - if you're a woman you grab whatever size fits you comfortably. If you're a small-framed male, you may end up with the same armor. And the pelvic armor isn't designed to protect your junk, it's to protect your femoral arteries which are in the same damn place no matter how many X chromosomes you have.
And they're called sports bras.
Why not use that?

Because it was 6 million polys? And also modelled things that would never be visible (like the nipple! I remember that thread.), which is kind of wasteful.
Plus now you have to find the maker and get both permission and model from her (wasn't it sheena?). And make it consistent with the new marine model.
Links obviously won't work anymore.
edit: Is it just me accessing the forum through google effing my boardsettings up or did the view change for you?
And here's why we SHOULDN'T use this:

For every one that RobB just screwed, click this link to get out of threaded mode.
Oh, and there is some decent (iirc) female marine concept art floating around some where, can't remember when it was done, but it was a while back. Probably by Cory, but I honestly can't remember.

would you remove the quote? i found the problem and fixed it.

err... i think you wont have luck finding that model in a sushifx post...
because it was done by me.. lawl.. and her name is nancy (yeah..its the mapname pun)
not my fault that the settings page doesnt include the display options.
being in the army, i can safely say body armour comes in medium, large and extra large, not female.
Arnold Schwarzenegger = Kindergarten Cop
Eddie Murphy = Daddy Day Care
the quote is from Kindegarten Cop; also, +1 unisex armor.
And I would really like to see a female marine model thread make it past 3 pages without getting locked.

There's no particular need for a seperate armor except for players who've become habituated to something that accents a playermodel's boobs.
Visually, Temphage's post sums up the sentiments exactly.

Really now... that leading comment that wasn't needed.
And it's nothing modern gene-tech can't fix anyway.
