This is NS2.Dev's first video tutorial for the Spark Editor.

Lesson:
This lesson will teach you how to make your first room and hallway along with placing and scaling props and painting and scaling textures.

Description:
Ok, I know, it's not the best video tutorial ever. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to cover and was improvising it as I went along. As such, I blunder a few times while talking and maybe don't explain everything as clearly as I should. If you have any questions about this tutorial feel free to leave a comment. Future videos will be better I promise! I also now realize that my audio is really, really quiet throughout. It's something I'll fix in tutorials to come.

    Lesson 1:

Make sure you have a set structure and key topics when doing a video tutorial :)

Nice overall, but I think you should re-upload it with louder sound. I had to ramp my volume way to the top to be able to hear anything, and it was still rather hard to hear.

Yeah, I had highest volume everywhere and it was barely audible on my laptop speakers.

I think you might have to consider this first video you've made as a "learning experience" and make a new one.
Maybe it can be improved upon and maybe shorter so it's not 16min long.
    Anyway nice work :)

had a hard time to watch the video since the recorded volume is very low and the page redirects to a blank page after a while. trying youtube now..

Okay so I'm just going to throw this out there: Why make a "basic" tutorial when UWE already released the same thing (and quite frankly, did it better)? You're tutorial was not only longer but it didn't really cover any new ground, and the UWE basic tutorials are presented right after you download Spark so most people would already have an immediate source of fundamentals without having (or needing) to search out your website. So, what's the point? If it's just to have an "NS2Devs" version, that's stupid.

Instead of wasting your time remaking what's already out there you probably should have just linked to the UWE fundamental videos in a tutorial thread on your website and then created new tutorial videos on more advanced features/functions.

+1 for more advanced tutorials instead of basic re-creating the wheel.

Alright thanks for the comments guys. I'll start thinking of more advanced concepts to hit up and make sure the audio problem doesn't happen again :P

Read comments, haven't seen video (not sure I will). Regardless thanks for making it.

I'm looking forward to a more advanced features/techniques video. Will definetely check that out.

I think an "advanced features" tutorial requires the editor in question to have advanced features.
