Nope, can't play in game with them yet. And these maps wont work in HL2 because they aren't HL2 maps, and this is not a HL2 game nor is it built on the source engine. Gotta wait for the next set of goodies from UWE before we can start playing in game. :D
I'm not sure that's necessary, there's already a lot of documentation around here stating that its just the editor at this point; as well as the fact that it has nothing to do with half life or the source engine any longer.

Yeah it may be a question as its a new program, but keep in mind its a "pre-alpha" version and if you look true all drop down menus you'll find that there is one.
And like someone said, it wound run on HL2 as its a total diffrent engieen from what they started with.

Currently only the editor is available, not the alpha of the game. You'll have to wait for that in order to walk around in your map.
The map won't work with HL2 or any other game. NS2 uses a bespoke engine.
