Seriously.
I don't get the € = $ that Steam offers.
And then paypal you the money or something similar.
At <a href="http://www.dimensionplus.nl/bestellen/PC-Windows/Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-2/750647" target="_blank">Dimension Plus</a> it goes for the "normal" price of €49.99
Usually new PC games are between €29.99 and €49.99, The latest console games on the other hand go for at least €54.99 and up...

I'm not quite sure about that one. Everybody says that Torchlight is $20, but I'm seeing it at €16 on Steam (which is still higher than the €13.4 that $20 comes out to, but that could be Denmark's 25% VAT). Can somebody with prices in dollars tell us what Torchlight costs on Steam?

For example, today Steam shows MW2 at £39.99:
I can buy it from Tesco (For anyone non-UK, a huge retail chain, much like Wal-Mart) for £29.99.
Play.com are also an online operation, but additionally need to go through stocking & shipping me a retail copy, they're selling for £34.99.
Amazon.co.uk - £29.70
This. Makes. No. Sense.
The main difference was I posted using accurate data, thaldy...

feesable?
edit: Also, is it possible for me to play the singleplayer of MW2 with this almost dial-up slow connection that I'm stuck with until the 18th? I know it sounds odd, but I have heard something about steam needing to download a lot of files first. (That is even if I bought it at a store).

In the literal sense indeed, but I think our UWE board overlords meant off-topic/none NS related. But why am I trying to rectify a joke...
Nevermind then, I'll be over here with the others not discussing Call of Duty:Mech Warrior 2
from what i understand, if you buy it at a retail store it still runs through steam. so if you don't want to pay extra on steam, then buy it at the retail store. i don't see why you would choose not to buy it solely because you can get it cheaper than on steam.

Prices in Europe are usually VAT included. Which means that (normally) $20+tax ~ 20€.Then again this is normally, and seeing the USD/EUR rate, Europe is still more expensive.
