Most Annoying Weapons

Im just stating the two most HATED weapons in the whole game. I think they are blink and web. I cant stand them! they never work right, and usually get me stuck, or not doing what I want them to do. For instance, I used blink to get down from a ledge, and got stuck in the floor. I had to kill myself, because my energy wouldnt go up and I was stuck. And webbing..OH boy..it almost NEVER works. The only way ive found it working is if you shut off the alien flashlight, and then shoot. Whenever I turn it on and shoot, it never comes. I really think these weapons, or moves, or what not, should really be fixed or changed somehow in the next version. Thats my 2 cents in.

    Yes, blink can be a bit sporadic. Just be careful to not aim at the floor or structures and you should be fine. For web, remember that for a web to be placed, you have to shoot twice, usually once on each of two opposite walls. You could also shoot two spots on the floor, or on one wall. Think of the web as a line, and the green globs you shoot as dots at the end of the line.

    about webbing, when you turn your flashlight on while making it the web is still there (if it can be made), just permanently invisible to you, visible to others. Blink, I've gotten pretty good at and rarely get stuck, I often blink to the floor instead of using ladders, the one thing that always messes up on blinking to the floor is if there is a partially transparent brush there.

    I always find Blink a very usfull skill. I blink into the marines base...stir up some trouble...then blink out.
    Web is the only defence i have when im a gorge. Web up people then use health spray.

    when getting stuck as a fade try evolving back to skulk... its not the best way to get away since you loose the fade and those 44 points but youll get to keep mov def and sensory skills and can evolve back to fade again without having to go trough the death sequence and respawn... it works about 70% of the times...

    Someone mentioned it above: when you place webs with your flashlight on, they will not show up; this is a known bug. However, they DO still exist! If you turn off your flashlight, walk away, and come back into the area, the webbing will have appeared.

    Note: If you have your flashlight on and are *watching* another alien lay webs, you will not see them either. Same thing applies.

    Blink will improve in future patches.
