Lerk Wall Crawl

I think the Lerk should be given the ability to crawl on walls and ceilings. Of course not at the same speed as a skulk. I think that the Lerk, while really good if used properly, has a very obvious limit because of the maps all being inside.
I just think that the Lerk could be given bat-like qualities. At the very least, the Lerk should be allowed to cling from the ceiling and observe and gas from above and then be able to swoop down or out of danger. It wouldn't be a major change to the mechanics anyway.
And since i mentioned bat-like qualities for the lerk, I was wondering what people would think about giving the lerk a sonar ability. Where it can use it down a hallway and the wave would travel down the hallways a certain distances (around turns and corners) and the hud would indicate enemies and structures.
Any input?

great idea, simple, easy to implement, lots of new interesting game play facets open up. Got my full support buddy. (cept the sonar thing, thats dumb)
Just imagine a lerk latched onto the ceiling like a bat, just waiting for an unsuspecting marine to come by so he can swoop and bit his face. Gives the lerk a new ambush play type.
So if flying normally no sticking, if crouch held down he would stick and be able to crawl on the walls and ceilings like a skulk but slower.
Also, the sonar ability is superflous as the aComm is responsible for recon as far as I understand.
I forgot all about +walk, that would work too. As long as a key has to be depressed to make the lerk stick.

just thinking that too, he should be able to latch, but not walk, on CEILINGS, no walls, just ceilings, and the ceiling must be Dynamically Infested, giving the Kharra another home advantage.
I don't remember crouch doing anything at all for Lerks.
It did at some point. dont remember anymore if it was the old or the new flightsystem.

Actually, lerks can now infinitely sustain flight without flapping. How do you have 3,299 posts?

Back to topic: My last information is that this "bug" has been fixed.
I'd really like wallwalking for the lerk simply because I could travel through the map without touching the ground. That is a very cool concept. (Perhaps a reason for the success of all those games with Free Running/Parkour elements? Hint hint, nudge nudge, Unknown Worlds :) )
If you can latch onto a ceiling, you can latch onto a wall. From a purely physical standpoint, it doesn't make sense to give the lerk ceiling latching, but not wall latching.
It also would be a really, really unintuitive system for actual gameplay to allow one but not the other. "It works just the same as the skulk wallwalking that everyone is used to but....not?" Not a good idea.
Attaching to the ceiling, gravity keeps the Lerk upright.
WALL walking should be skulk only, while a minor ceiling cling is ok for the lerk though

Overall a cool idea. And the Sonar idea reminds me of the TAC scan in Dystopia, except only for the lerk to see, and maybe more confined range and area?
I bet they thought about that already.
