Making them smaller, quieter, more electricity-efficient.
...I guess that's the entire question in the topic subject.

Not sure if there is a special name for graphics card, but ever heard of "product revamp"?

I know a lot of reviews of cards will rate power consumption and noise, but I don't know any names for it other than "quiet" or "low-power".

    I guess:

Ati/AMD calls it "ATI PowerPlayâ„¢ technology"

Nvidia calls it "NVIDIA’s Lowest Power Geforce"

Charlie (from SemiAccurate, http://www.semiaccurate.com - formerly of The Inquirer) calls nVidia's rebadging/rebranding of the 8800 on up 'bumpgate.'

Otherwise, if it's the same product, just redone on a smaller process, it's usually called a 'respin' 'revamp' or similar, as the previous posters mentioned.
