The New Grenade Launcher?

<div class="IPBDescription">things go BOOM</div> I was playing as a lerk one day (in a 1.03 server) and I saw a marine fire a few grenades into my vent I was hiding in. Actually I heard him a mile away, so I backed up.. a lot. Then when the first one went off, I died... I was at least 8 meters away! I know explosions are supposed to be affected by the container they're in.. and I would assume the explosion would channel.. but that's a lot of code? Did they really code it this way, or did someone shoot me from behind with a grenade while I wasn't looking?

Never mind a Lerk is worth 33rp...so killing one Lerk pays for the gun. People don't generally think of it that way, they just think "OMG, I died with my expensive gun and only killed one thing!".

Grab a GL and take out a decent-sized Turret Farm and you've paid for that gun more than twice over.

Of course, since Marines generally tend to get trapped (willingly...stupid Turreters) in their base and the Aliens hold all the resources, you have to pay for your guns about 7 times before it's actually worth it...

This really doesen't have anything to do with this post, but I remember this one time I was hiding in a vent and this stupid marine kept shooting grenades up into it to take me out, but they would just bounce past me and roll down this slant and wouldn't hurt me one bit.

But yeah, grenades do have a pretty big blast radius, and I'm almost positive there is no 'channeling' effect in a tight area such as a vent.
