that would be quite awesome. it seems against Sony's modus operandi to take a game that has been sort of a flop for years and actually spend money on a sequel though. Sony's MMO philosophy seems to be, spend as little as humanly possible to maintain games, and make a small but steady profit on the few subscribers who hang on.

SOE's MMO MO (hah!) is to come up with a load of ideas, throw them together, then release it as a game and/or an update for an existing game.
Then over the next few months they iron out all the problems that they should've seen while designing it in the first place.
Then a few months later, they do it again. Then the MMO dies and they wonder why.
Still, I filled out the feedback form. A planetside 2 would be interesting, if only to see how much they try to rip off WoW and squeeze it into the MMOFPS genre.
