Looking For A Game

<div class="IPBDescription">Because it was awesome.</div>I've recently started trying to track down an older game that I enjoyed. It was an RTS set underwater. There were at least 2 races, but possibly 3. The first race were humans and used technology and what not to get around. This included Submarines and all there structures were metal and what not - the predictable characteristics of an underwater human civilization. There were different torpedo upgrades that you could give your submarines, and "collector" submarines if memory serves me right, that went out and collected resources. Human structures could be elecrified also. The second race were aliens or something. They relied solely on their "biological superiority" and as such most (if not all) their structures and vehicles were biologically based. I don't really remember much about them to be honest.

Both teams started off in one area of the map and the goal was to ultimately destroy each others bases. I've only played a demo of this game, that I believe was on a PC Gamer CD at least 5 years ago, but probably more. Given my very limited description of the game, I don't suppose anyone has any idea what game I'm referring to? I don't think that it was very popular and I have on ideas as to what each side was called or the name given to the game.

Well, the first result on a google search for "underwater rts" is an Amazon.com list about the "best RTS games ever". One of those games is called (drumroll please) Submarine Titans. It apparently was released in 2000, and features three playable classes, one of which is aliens. I hope that's what you're looking for. Google-Fu FTW.

Bah! That appears to be it.
Maybe I should go to Google school again. I did a dozen searches for that and found nothing...

    Thanks.

Never heard of this game, so I downloaded the demo. And argh wtf? :P Unkillable enemies on the first level! They just kept moving up and down so my turrets and subs couldn't hit them. Then they just proceeded to kill all my stuff. Didn't really spend much time trying to figure it out, but I'd obviously need faster bullets

I remember this game! I played the hell out of that demo. Torps missing on the Z plane was awesome and frustrating depending what side you were on. I usually avoided he problem by outfitting everything with plasma eventually.

I unfortunately can't install/play the demo successfully. I run the installer and just as it finishes copying the files, the install crashes. Looking at the install target, I guess it doesn't copy over the Music folder and doesn't configure the game itself. stconfig.exe allows setup the game folders but it crashes (without an error :|) after you click "Okay." I've tried compatibility settings, administrator settings, etc.
Sigh. I really, really miss playing these older games.

I own this game, one of my favorites from back in the day.
Sort of like Starcraft underwater imo..

Argh, now I'm in the mood to play it again.

Just a thought, did you try setting the compatibility of the .exe file to an earlier version like windows 95 or 98?

They did but it was closed due to lack of admissions.
