End Bite to Leap Not Needed

I agree that +movement is fine as it is... but I also dont mind the alt fire option AS LONG AS THERE IS NO BITE AT END OF LEAP.

Its an alternative... whats so hard to click the primary at the end of it yourself... Should we also script in the alien to bite when facing marines? NO.

Also you might not leap all the way to the enemy because it is a low hallway. And you are just out of bite range when you land and the leap forces you to bite... in that time you have closed into range... In the mean time your still closing your jaw and your desperately wanting to bite them... Now your dead... (Lag, Rates, Server Performance, Computer Performance may play a major role in this as well)

Rare case sure... But your a skulk... And 100% of alien players are skulks to begin with... This can be a small problem but it is a feature that is not needed when you could just time your bite in mid air.

Also lets say..... You leap from an extremely high ledge and you just bite mid air FOR NO FREAKING REASON. If you were extremely far away and the sound was quiet and muffled by gunfire, potential silence, multiple aliens, or your behind a ledge slightly and the sound travels differently (Nice sound tweak to have).... And then when your pretty close to the enemy you simply bite mid air and reveal your position as a simple gooey clay pidgeon.

Also what about Leap as mobility? We leap to the top of vents/pillars/upper ledges AND BITE THE AIR AGAIN?!? Come on... We can use two fingers if needed on the mouse... I use 3 for mic... Talk and kill ;p

I just love to leap over a rine and bite his head off :D So I agree.
But it would be fine if you bite just in the moment when hitting a marine after leaping on him.

When did they ever say there would be a mandatory bite at the end of the leap?

agreed, if the leap is alt-fire, we can just left click to bite at whatever time we choose, good point, though the bite-at-the-end thing was probably when they were considering non-altfire leap

Yeah it's a pretty stupid idea and one I hope was is scrapped quicker then it was thought of.

Agreed - I don't think bite is needed as part of the alt-fire for skulks.

Just keep the leap and allow the alien to bite. No need to dumb it down and make it easier for players less skilled.

If (as a skulk) you can time your leap/bite to bite a marine as you leap past / at them, then by all means earn the kill. But don't allow a newbie skulk fresh to the game to get leap-bite kills without trying.

FFS! I think most people where against leap as bite alt-fire. The people in favor probably don't even know about "+movement".

Leap as Bite alt-fire is step back from the awesomeness that is "+movement"

I don't think it is necessary to have bite at the end of leap. It just makes things too simple in my opinion.

To the OP, I think Flayra means that when the skulk touches down, then it would bite. Or when it comes into contact with a marine. It won't just bite in midair.

I doubt this leap-bite will remain in the game. I haven't really seen any positive feedback on it.

Flayra did, and I doubt he'll cut back because this should be really good feedback.
