For those of you who think Flayra is out of touch with NS because he never plays, I have some news for you. He does in fact play... Or at least he did for 3 rounds and was connected for a total of 36 mins 30 seconds on June 18th 2009 on the EvolveNS.com "<GUD>" server.

    Maybe it will remind him how steep the learning curve is for beginners, but also how much depth there is in the game for experts.

    Marines really bombed the next round, we managed a lucky shotgun rush but that was it. I just wish everybody was as cool and polite as they are when devs are playing ;D.

    I don't see what the big thing is about zero kills. I spend whole games as Gorge or on support detail, and while I rack up an impressive zero I'm also healing the 3 fades and dropping hives.

    To be honest, I'd rather play with a team player than someone who thinks he's the Alien Commander - hoarding for Fade and demanding chambers that benefit their playstyle and noone elses.

    But I digress... every now and again I go Fade to remind people not to mock the Gorge :D

    I took the screenshot while watching the demo from him playing last week. He typed that after he was dead, right before spawning actually. You can see how good he is for yourself by watching the demos in that linked thread.

    No, that was on game 2, he was in West Skylights eating a resource node, I shot him with lmg and then he ran on the wall and tried to jump down and bite my face off...

    Uh, that's a dev icon. If you look closely you see that it's the TSA symbol, not the stars constellation symbol. Regardless he has donated, many times to NS1. :-)

    Actually I'd rather have him play, see what people like, see what works and what doesn't, and THEN go and code.

    You know, rather than doing what other companies do i.e. pull code out of their A$$ and then patchfix it when it doesn't survive contact with the community.


    No, that didn't apply to original NS because original NS was a mod, and mods work differently. This is now a retail product, and therefore comes under "retail rules", haha.

    While that is a developer icon and not a constellation icon, Flayra's steam ID is listed as a dev, playtester, and constellation. Before you go saying that all developers are const, they are NOT.

    There are 18 developers, all of which are also pts. Only 11 of the developers are const.

    There are 126 pts (subtract out the 18 devs) and you have 108 pts. Of these 108 only 46 of these are const.
