I'll answer this properly: It will most likely be a downloadable game, like on steam. If you buy it off steam, its well and easy [Not available yet]. If you buy it directly from the developers, you will get a key and be able to download it off their website whenever [when its finished and put up there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />]

I was thinking about that as well (On the CD part). Although I know the current system for the purchase of games, I can't say I'm not disappointed. I was actually expecting a nice little Box to go with my small collection of games I proudly bought. That means no manual or special edition pamphlet bonuses. Ah well... Guess it does cost a lot more to do it like all big corporations.
But I do hope NS2 gets famous enough for little figurines ahah!
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->As for now it's planned as digital distribution only. I think they said that somewhere once.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I'll confirm this. I remember hearing this back in ye olden days
Any idea, will NS2 be distributed via P2P too? When release day comes, it will be like hundreds(thousands?) of people trying to direct download the client at the same time, and im pretty sure it will crash UWE's servers. That technology aint illegal unless you share/dl something illegal with it, so i think it would be perfect for NS2 distribution too. Opinions?

World of Goo started with digital distribution only, but now it's also available as retail version.
