Is it possible to add helpful text to the map loadings screen and if you die, while waiting to spawn, you can see another helpful text but you have the choice to close the helpful text text window.
Good or not?
I guess its need for many (new) players, because NS2 is very diffrent to ns1.
helpful text = e.g. "The Alien Commander can Upgrade the armor, attack damage and speed of every class, it cost %RES_LEVEL_ALIEN for each level."
and stuff.

Maybe make it randomly choose out of the in-game hints so you don't have to use two different sources for all those hints.
Customizable tips might be interesting. Community pages could host alternative tip files that include more up to date information.
Two sources are better, because map loading can be very fast, i don't know how fast it is in NS2 but in some games, you want to read, e.g. oblivion and you cant, because game starts.
Maybe just one source but you hit "play" button to close the hint.
For people who don't need, there can be a flagg like "no more hints = false/true"
If they put Loading Screens in the Game, they should give Background Information about the NaSe Universe.
This game was one of the best games in atmossphere and i would love to get more information about how the Story of the Game came together everytime i join the game.

In game?
I don't remind tips ingame with NS1.
Loading screen tips = awesome. No reason not to make the loading time useful.
Most useful thing I ever saw: "+movement allows for bindable blink and leap!" or something along those lines, I suddenly went from futile fade to capable ;p
Maybe a full screen map, showing your teams players.
I loved how most of the call of duty's they have famous quotes.
