<div class="IPBDescription">making wall walk easier</div>Here's a fun thought.
Let's assume the maps are similar to the ones we see in NS1. Most hallways have arches or other such things to provide places to hide and give atmosphere. Similarly there's often struts and such on the ceilings. However, these can sometimes be really hard to wall walk around without falling to the ground.
What if DI as it took over an area smoothed these out making wall walking easier? I'd think by filling in the sharp corners and smoothing the geometry.
The major downside is you lose all those cool places to hide. A potential fix on this would be that the DI still follows the basic layout, so a strut would cause a bulge (and thus some cover), but the gradient would no longer be a sharp 90 degree angle thus letting you go down the entire hallway on the wall effortlessly.
Thoughts?

As for cover to hide behind, the gorge's ability to sculpt with the DI means you can create your own cover from any ceiling or wall you desire.

This idea combined with, perhaps, the topic idea should really improve the assimetry between aliens and marines and provide unique matches considering the infested alien side of the map would always be capable of a certain degree of geometrical change.
If I´m getting this right, gorges would have a major tactical purpose and teamwork orientation, creating multiple unique cover spots for other aliens, and maybe even some obstacles for the marines. I think this would make the game even faster paced and should REALLY be considered by the developers.
Just hope gorges can reach the DI on the ceiling, those fat balls... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
