Draft Tournament

<div class="IPBDescription">Head count..</div>Hello,

I wanted to see if there was still any potential interest in getting something more structured then pubs going thus, im putting the word out that I am interested in organizing and running a tournament, in which we will have anywhere from eight (8) to sixteen(16) teams, assembled for the sake of some competition. I've been out of the loop for a year+ so im still gathering information, what I wanted to know is who out there would be interested in this?

Requirements:
* We need 56-112 people.

After doing some research and gathering input from a few of the old top players, we will probably deviate a little away from the draft style tournament into something that would work better with this number of "strangers" in the tournament in a way that people would have incentive to play yet, not feel like there is one elite team and a lot of bad ones. This tournament's information as well as its website would launch once we hit the target amount of people. Please, if you are interested you NEED to post on here or contact me via IRC.gamsurge.net at #nsrevival.

Cheers,

    (with 2 korean teams, one from US and even one from Argentinia)

    Transatlantic/contintenal NS doesn't work- the high pinging team will get dominated as shown by knife in the NS invitational cup some years back.

    The Euro NS league has a couple of non-Euro teams as the poster above said but they only play in the mickey mouse lower leagues. At top tier whoever has the home server wins.

    Ping is an issue true, but its still not impossible to have fun competitions around international teams. Currently we (Quaxy) have played a few games against koreans on US server with both having around 180-200 ping. Its hard but we still had enjoyable games. Playing against americans feels rather fine now.

    I'm not a big fan of those 200+ ping games either, but anything that keeps the activity going is huge nowadays.

    Seeing as how this isn't making much progress, try to sign up for this tourney:
