The favicon in the URL bar has reverted back to the default one, I think it used to be the eye or something? (this seems to be across the whole site, not just the forums)

Odd, using Firefox 3.0.5 at work here and don't see it anywhere, weird. Oh well. Ignore me then <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

The error page told me a couple table and column names of your database schema.
    That stuff shouldn't be exposed.

This is occuring on my PC as well. When on the forums I have the default IPB icon, when browing other parts of the site its just the generic "they don't have a favicon" favicon <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I have the hive icon on my laptop, but my new pc seems to have the default one :/

And now the Hive Icon is suddenly present for me again. Forums and main site.

    Meh, the updating of the favicons is randomly accurate <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Dynamic infestation was too dynamic, infested the servers. Flamethrowers were deployed. All is well.

    HAHA! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

I wasn't worried, you guys are running a business and would want that site up ASAP. I knew the site was down for maintenance or something like that. If you need help fixing something or improving the architecture of the site so that it is more stable, there are probably many people in the community who would be willing to lend a hand for free. (but certainly not me because I don't know anything technical about the database services running websites like this, too confusing imao!)

I still think TychoCelchuuu has the best explanation for the temporary outage

Huh. I was wondering what happened, thought it was odd that I got the update email and... site wouldn't talk to me.

The news post at <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/2008/12/unknown_worlds_videocast_7_texture_rendering" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/2008...xture_rendering</a> does not appear if you click the link to the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/2008" target="_blank">news archives for 2008</a>, even though it was posted in 2008. Similarly, only one of this year's posts show up in the archives for 2009. It's a bit confusing.

On a somewhat related note, perhaps there should be an "earlier posts" button at the buttom of the page, as opposed to only having archive links?

Oh, and out of curiosity, can I get rid of that signature? I apparently added it to my profile in 2003, but it's all outdated now. My profile seems to have some settings for avatar, signatures and stuff, but the one appearing below does not seem to be listed anywhere.

I believe the signature can still be edited regardless. If it is not working on your system I'd be willing to walk through the steps with you on it to learn where the glitch is. Just PM me sometime.

Don't worry, I have faith that the UWE team and the moderators will fix this in time just like every other issue this board has encountered in it's history. I still don't understand why it got corrupted, and that leaves my curiosity unsatisfied, but oh well.

    :-)
