There's "HD" versions available on youtube, or you can download them <a href="http://files.filefront.com/Tour+2009+zip/;13005092;/fileinfo.html" target="_blank">here</a> at possibly higher res.

Pretty god-damned amazing. There's a big difference between the jap/euro/american modules when compared to the russians'. The ruskies are much more utilitarian. There are some incredible shots shown through the portholes of earth.

36 mins in total, well worth it.

Yup, just watched this last night. I was particularly awestruck when the first porthhole shutter was opened and you could see Earth below. Even more amazing is how those astronauts can spend months at a time up there. And then they go and tell you that they're prepping the ISS for a mission of 6 astronauts to stay up there. Crazy.

    shiny

too bad it's all built out of 'space approved' stuff, which is about 5-10 years behind the tech in your home computer, but proven to not blue screen for at least 5 years while getting pelted by radiation in space.

I love how un-sci-fi it is, literally just crammed full of anything that might be particularly useful. Which is awesome.

Also at one point, there was what sounded like a group of people watching a comedy show, and yet I saw no evidence of such a thing happening on the tour. ALIENS!

Something the exercising lady was watching?

Kinda cool. I could sit in front of those windows for hours.

The Russians figured that the astronauts are already eating the most expensive food in the solar system in the world's most expensive piece of real estate. Why would they need to be pampered any more?

Which reminds me of that old urban (or would that be orbital?) legend about the different approaches to the problem of pens not working correctly without gravity.
