NS without Steam

<div class="IPBDescription">Unable to run</div>I've a version of half life v1.1.1.1 which has steam attached to it (in a sense that you can view server game list from the half life client itself. You cannot open steam naturally)
After i installed natural selection (version 3.2 btw), i tried the change game key available on the menu of the half life client and selected natural selection, but nothing happens. When i change to other mods such as blue shift, it works. Can anyone help me with this? Help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

    newest version of NS does not work with older versions of HL.

    Ok i got it. But now i cannot patch up my half life with a 1.1.1.2 patcher by steamless CS project. It just crashes during patching. How do i solve the problem?

    You need to use a steam version of HL 1 to play NS. That's the only supported way to play NS.

    So only the 2xx versions of NS can be played without steam and at a lower half life version such as 1.1.1.0? Thanks

    yes, and good luck finding servers running 2.xx or lower.

    just get steam, its not the devil. and if you are only doing this because you pirated hl, then cmon, its 10 dollars. seriously.

    Conclusion:

    These 4 Servers are the "best" Servers in the NON Steam NS Community.
    Unfortunately the best of them (Igronet.ru in my eyes) is located very far away from Europe, that leads
    to Pings which are low on the one hand (Pubbers from the city or from Moscow) and are high (Euros or Koreans) on the other hand.
    All in All i would Suggest you to play on the ByFly Servers. There are ALWAYS people on it although their skill is far below a normal public server.

    btw.
    You can't join these servers via steam anymore because they aren't running on the 48th Protocol. All these Cracked servers are running on the old 47th Protocol - that doesn't mean they are outdated, there is no difference between this NS Version or the Steam NS Version!

    Also HL was just ,98c for HL's 10th birthday <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
    As soon as I seen it I immediately clicked the buy button for the sole purpose to play NS.
