Cannt see any NS servers

I was a long time fan of NS way back when. Then steam came along and I couldnt register my account (lost CD long ago). So, yesterday I saw they were selling HL 1 for 98 cents.. I instantly remembered NS and bought it for this game.

Problem is no servers are being listed. I have to assume there are servers since these forums are still active. I disabled my firewalls, still no servers. What am I doing wrong?

    Yea there are still about 10-15 populated servers that should suit you.

    Regarding you're problem, maybe try some filtering options?

    Also direct connect you're computer to internet to make sure it's no firewall/router/network firewall option

    weird.. and you see them by using the steam loader? I have no filter options on and firewalls are all disabled.

    You have to try it ingame and not over the steam browser.

    What do you mean in game instead of through steam browser?

    Did you try connecting directly to a sever ip?

    type "connect 8.12.64.9:27015" (without the ") in the console and see what happens.

    Did the connection fail after 4 retries?

    Very strange, check you network settings (again).

    Try 209.242.60.187:27015, 98.195.73.33:27015

    Can you direct connect at them?

    And yes I just see about 50+ servers with filter <250 ms and more with no filters.

    Can you see servers from other games such as TF2 or CS?

    If yes, then all I can say is reinstall NS?

    And by in-game he means by clicking "Find servers" when you're NS is started and loaded (aka in-game).
