<div class="IPBDescription">slow mouse movement</div>I have a problem, and so far its only on HL1 mods.

When i move my mouse normally, i look around slowly in game

When i move it fast, it moves fast, however, ive tried upping my senstivity and stuff, but it seems like mouse acceleration is on, however its not enabled in vista, or in the drivers on my mouse.

I dont know how to explain it very well :\

But anyway of fixing it would be nice!

    I got almost the same problem with my mouse (only in hl1 mods). The movement doesn't feel right and the mouse lags a bit... I can hardly hit those Skulks with that ######ty mouse <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skulk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::skulk::" border="0" alt="skulk.gif" />

    got a MX510...

    If you want to hae the same mousespeed every time equal how fast move your mouse ingame use <u>-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd</u> at the startoptions at ns. This should help.

    You might also want to try setting the priority of HL.exe to 'Low' in the Taskbar. You'll have to do this everytime you start your game though.

    That was for freeze ups. What the GPP was talking about is simply mouse acceleration (you mouse speed is not a linear function with your cursor speed).

    Well, nothing worked for me...

    Will try it with a new mouse (g5) in the next few days, i think my old one is dying (mx510) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" />

    Hi, I have the exact same thing.

    I have no mouse acceleration in any game (TF2, L4D, other games) or windows (XP) but I do have some mouse acceleration in NS (I haven't tried Hl1 but I'm thinking it might be there too).

    Is there something in HL1 that forces you're mouse to have acceleration?

    Okay, solved the problem. I got my new mouse, but that alone didn't solve it, I also had to set the HL.exe priority to low.
    I had tried this before but seems like this was also a hardware issue. Well I'm happy now as it works. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" />

    Do exactly this. It will totally get rid of any mouse acceleration and then you can just set the sensitivity like in all the other games. You don't have to mess with the Windows priority and all that.
    It just seems by default the NS has a built-in accel when it's a fresh installation, at least it was for me
