Photoshop, color blending using the background colors for the logo. And I also cut-out the logo and the loaded the selection of the logo layer, that way I only colored the logo and not the background.

Would you mind sharing the cutout of the logo? You seem to have the best resolution logo out there and it would really help the creative community if it was available to all of us <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
I know there used to be a VERY high res image of the TSA logo on the forums. Anyone have it or know where it is?

Ok, did one, trying to include some of the ideads previously mentioned.
-Make sure people notice the type "Natural Selection 2" -Include UnknownWorlds name, but discretly -Dynamic, action NS image centered -Fancy photoshop effects -It's 1680x1050 so it fits most any screen
Give comments on what you want changed, improved. Like the color of the letters, the glow, the placement of the different texts, the use and color of the image. Anything, and I'll try pumping out different versions. One idea could be the same layout, but with a different center image, making a series or wallpapers

I have been following this thread for a bit and wanted to contribute to it, but didn't have the time. But today i finally got a minuet or two to whip this up for you guys
The font and icon are little dark right now, and there should not be that strip down at the bottom, but for the most part i have the look i wanted.

ya ... what i did was make a vector of the logo so i could scale it to w/e rez i wanted it. if i had a site to upload a psd. i would be more then happy to let you all have a crack at it.
but as to having a higher rez of the original i do not.

Well I gots my new monitors here's a small story and photo with the wallaper I posted here. They are pretty nice indeed and the wallpaper does fit superbly
That's because it just doesn't look good with the crappy logo ripped from the Site. If we just had the Natural Selection II logo in a bigger resolution..
I've got Vista Ultimate which allows me to use mpgs for my desktop pattern. These are usually 8-10 second seamless loops so it appears to go on forever. Anyone up to the task of crafting something along those lines?
EDIT: Oh, and I love the phrase "Evolution Favors the Strong"

UWE does have an art section, but I think it has been collecting major amounts of dust since NS2. I started a thread over there a while back for NS2 wallpapers I was making. I'll dump them into this thread as well. Unfortunately right now they're all 16:9.
I haven't done much due to dedicating majority of the time to play testing, so hopefully I can get you guys more soon. I do have one finished already, but that will be released alongside Gorilla.
Really this is an exercise in branding. Diablos works well because it gives you two things - a visual aesthetic that is in keeping in the game, and a big white logo that will imprint in your memory meat sack.
It works well and you remember it, I don't think the examples in this thread work that well.
I doubt anyone on here has the skills to do artwork that is the sort of things you see in posters, or on box art - but have a look around, see what works well, and if you can duplicate it.
The best thing you can do imitate what Diablo has done - but stick in some marine textures that blend into the alien infestation texture.
It would be good to see some light coming through the logo as per the UWE videos. It works well on several levels. Marines vs Aliens sort of thing.
