Right click on the URL bar and hit "edit search engines." Select Wikipedia and change the keyword to "wp" or something. Then type "wp Famous Jewish Baskteball Players" or something to search Wikipedia. Opera does this too but not automatically.

Not to my experience. Firefox 3 essentially uses at maximum 300mb from me(and even then, only for a minute or two), and never anything more. It has never slowed down other things that I am doing.
It pretty much depends on what kind of horrible cocktail of extensions you're forced to use depending on what kind of functionality you want out of the browser.

My only real gripe with Chrome is the inability to turn off automatic image resizing. Other than that it definitely frustrates me less than FF2, which in the more recent versions crashed every 10 minutes or so, and FF3, which replaced its auto-complete url bar with the horrible suggestions bar that fails to be useful in any situation. Ever.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'd ever contribute anything; I'm far too lazy. But the option being there is enough to keep any serious ######ing from me down, in theory, at least.

Meh, it sounds like a good browser. But as long as FF2 doesn't crash over here and runs fine I do not feel an urge to install it.
Tell what do you guys do to make firefox crash like the horror stories I keep reading... It's not like I don't use it to the fullest with on average 15+ tabs and firefox.exe @ ~ 150-400MB, running along side photoshop/video editting/games/dvd on vlc/Vdubbing/sourceSDK etc... <img src="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/style_images/1/folder_post_icons/icon5.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

However ,that being said, I have had FF crash due to 3rd party things with some regularity. Regular culprits? Acrobat Reader (I now use Foxit) and Flash Games (from perfectly reputable sites).
Both of these would be fixed by using chrome. Sure, it still might crash and burn, but only one tab gets taken out.

I feel like there is too much visible space now... There is no file menu.. The tabs on top I thought I would hate, but I actually don't mind.
