The forums do seem quieter these days. Have we just covered lots of topics already in the years past or do we just need something that we share like a shiny new MMO (stuff like City of Heroes brought a lot of forumites together in ze digital world).
It's nice to still get a thread like this after all these years, even when I don't visit as much as I should. It really means a lot.

How was I proven wrong? His last post was a year ago, and I doubted he would ever see this thread. It is <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=Search&nav=au&CODE=show&searchid=ce132d66012193b1794d826896535e82&search_in=posts&result_type=posts" target="_blank">proven</a> that a year (well, technically it was slightly less than a year, but in the interest of brevity I just rounded to a full year) passed between his post in 2007 and his post in this thread. And it is still true that I doubted (in the past tense, mind you) that he would ever see this thread (and for good reason). Thus neither of the two assertions in my post has been proven wrong yet.

However, they were at the time fully justifiable, not to mention sensible. The evidence pointed to DOOManiac's departure from these forums. I shall be interested in whether he will make another post before his next birthday.
