I don't think you can actually summon a fictional character by imitating the voice of the actor who plays him. If that were true, for example, there would be Darth Vaders everywhere.

    You talk in your sleep?

The movie was excellent, but I didn't approve of the new Gotham. Rather than being run-down and ###### it was just Chicago.

    Best Scene ever:

Joker blowing up the hospital. Then looks around, a little confused, and fiddles with the detonator again. Oh man that was a beautiful piece of acting.

Best cinematography either the revolving camera for Joker and Rachel at the party, or Joker hanging upside down but the camera catches his soliloquy as if he's right side up. Freaky for both of them.

I just saw it tonight, I wasn't blown away but I thoroughly enjoyed it =3
Ledger's take on the Joker was fantastic, as everyone says.

As for villains for the next movie? BRING ON HARLEY QUINN!!! XD

Seriously though... they want to use ones that haven't already been shown? That removes...
Ra's Al Ghul, Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Bane, Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze, Two Face, Scarecrow and the Riddler.

Only person I can think of after all that is Harley Quinn but I'm no major batman buff =P

I don't class Bane has being shown tbh. He could have been called Fred in that film, and it wouldn't have made a difference. I reckon the next one should be Bane done properly.

He's established himself as the anti-hero, the Dark Knight, and left with some emotional distress. Seems like a good thing for Bane to come along and manipulate, to break the Bat, and see what happens to Gotham when Bruce isn't around anymore.

What? So why'd they use the Joker again.

    Excellent movie, only 2 issues:

    1. One of the things about Batman is he has no super powers right? (If you don't class his crime solving or w.e as a super power) But right at the start of the film he bends the barrel of a rifle with one hand <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> That's super strength or an insanely strong thumb. If it's the latter he doesn't need a batsuit or s*** he can just dish out steamy bowls of justice with his thumbs.

    2. It got real long in the tooth that everyone was getting kidnapped/killed by corrupt cops who you don't see much of. Seriously, they make it look like Gordon is the only straight cop on the force. I know Gotham is supposed to be in the s*** but that was too much.

    8.5/10!

About 1. I remember hearing some robotic machinery noise when batman bent the barrel of the gun so I'm pretty sure it's his super suit thing thats giving him the strength. It's a bit strange we don't see more of it tho, but I guess they didn't want to make Ironman 2.

Agreed with 2. I kept thinking the film finished but WAIT there's another group of hostages which have been taken. I know the Joker is an evil genius but he had one too many plans up his sleeve and incredibly deep resources...

Super Suit thingy giving him strength? And here I thought his origin was Natural, not Technology. Shows what I know.

considering that he's not a City of Heroes character, I don't think he has to play by their rules. I do believe he is naturally athletic and dexterous but also uses fancy state-of-the-art gadgets.

    That it does.

Batman's only super-power is an unlimited supply of money. Seriously, what the hell does Wayne Corp. do?

hmm... come to think of it, maybe Goyer just means the current batman films. That would open up Bane, Cat woman, poison ivy, penguin, riddler and stuff. I doubt they'd do the riddler so soon after the Joker though... while different they are kind of in the same vein =o

QUOTE

As before with “Batman Begins,” Goyer and the Brothers Nolan have not discussed a third film. “It wasn’t until three of four months after ‘Batman Begins’ opened that Chris and I sat down and talked about another one,” Goyer recalled. Ruminating on what characters they could possibly use in a third film, Goyer suggests he will buck the conventional wisdom. “In the first film we used Ra’s al Ghul and the Scarecrow, who had not been in the movies before and had not been in the ‘60s TV show. There are dozens, if not hundreds of other characters that [are possibilities.] Everyone says you have to use the Penguin or Catwoman. Well, I completely disagree.”

This is the source that wiki quotes as to why he doesn't want to use previously shown villains.

So, honestly, if there is a 3rd (and I expect there will be) we can count on seeign just about any one.

If anything, their best bet for their main villain in any possible sequel would probably be Mr. Freeze, based off his TAS origin. He's definitely the most tragic villain, and considering what happened in Dark Knight, they could play up how both Freeze and Bats have lost loved ones. Or something. After Joker and Two-Face, Mr Freeze has the most dramatic value to bring to a story.
