how to type French letters in game?

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" /> i saw the ENSL match demo and see someone type letters like "à á" in game, how to do it?


this is something i found in folder ns\gfx\vgui\fonts

    Hmm, I'm not sure at all, since I'm from germany, but if I want to write letters like á or à then i have to press shift and the key next to the ? (which again is next to 0) and then a. Shift + ` = à, ´ + a = á.

    The same goes for e and i:

    é è
    í ì

    Hold key ALT then press 0 2 2 6 can type â

    but i can't use in game.

    He's probably using a French keyboard, that's how I do it. If you're using an US keyboard, I don't think it's possible ingame, as the alt+code trick doesn't work.

    It obviously depend on the keyboard layout.

    -Maybe you can install other key mapping. Using it may work.
    -You can copy/paste some text from notepad (or other software) in console and or 'say input line'


    If it is just for communicate in french. You can write without 'accent'. It just works the same.
    For german it'll be a little bit touchy but still working for a lot of things.

    Install a language and press alt+shift to switch to that language.
