<div class="IPBDescription">Read it please.</div>Hey, these are some suggestions i have to improve the marines overall effectivness and the Alien's effectivness to balance gameplay.
Here are some suggestions that i would like to see:
MARINE SUGGESTIONS:
Give the marines flame throwers, Allow them to burn the aliens so the annoying fades can't run away and heal.
Give the marines a more realistic jetpack noise that sounds like a rocket.
Make Research time for different weapons to be faster, so the marines can keep the same research pace as the Aliens.
Give the marines a rocket launcher to take out onos with precision rather than just shooting one with 6 HMG's. (A lot of players find onos to be the most annoying morph because it's impossible to kill him when he hits and runs.)
Allow the Marines to deploy Defensive barriers, such as simple prefab walls that will slow down aliens from going into different sections.
Allow marines the chance to throw a frag grenade inside the onos so the onos dies with the marine. (This will only work if you are holding a grenade before the onos eats you.)
Give the Marines a special vision upgrade that allows them to see infrared.
When the marine armor upgrades, make the upgrade noticable with extra plateing, etc.
Fix the View on the Heavy armor so you appear are seeing taller. (This is because in NS1 when you are a heavy, you notice if you look at other heavies, they appear to be taller than you as you look at the waiste from the ground up.)
Allow the Heavy to have access to weaponry that normal marines can't hold, such as a rocket launcher, or chaingun?
Reduce the reload rate for all the weapons. (If you look at marines in the military, in action they don't take thier sweet time to put grenade rounds in, they take just 3 seconds to load in 6 grenades.)
Allow Marines with welders to construct buildings faster.
ALIEN SUGGESTIONS:
IF the onos is eating a soldier, don't allow it to use it's normal attack until the digustion is complete, or reduce the damage done from the onos during the process.
Change the amount of energy the blinking consumes so the fade can only blink 3 times instead of 6 times.
Give the Gorge a Artillery mode, so itcan switch to spit out huge bombs that have longer range than the bile bomb.
Allow gorges to climb up walls, but not stick onto ceilings.
Give the skulks a little more health.
Allow a upgrade for the aliens that gives them poison bite abilities.
Allow gorges to be a little more mobile, at least more speed so they aren't so slow.
Give the lerks the Spikes back, but don't make them instant hit.
Reduce the time it takes to digest a marine in the onos.
Make the Skulk's Jump feature a natural integration rather than a upgrade.
Disable onos from Eating anyone with Power Armour. (This is truely unrealistic even in the sci-fi world, exo-skeletons can lift 3 times the normal weight, and i find it hard to believe a Onos could swallow a big bulk of metal with Exoskeleton support.)
Make the Skulk's bite a little more penetrating to armor.
Give the Fade special scythe upgrades, and carapace upgrades.
UNIVERSAL SUGGESTIONS:
Give the Turrets, and Offensive chambers longer range.
Make it so even if the Hive or Command center is destroyed, allow the remaining players to fend for themselves and fight to the death, so the game can end with more excitement.

Congratulations; these maybe some of the most "unbalancing" balancing changes ive ever read.
You really dont like Onos or fade do you?
All these ideas destroy both morphs... but I dont understand... Fade and Onos are opposites... On sacrifices health for speed, other speed for health...
Do you want Aliens to be Slow and have no health???
The whole point of an onos is to be Anti HA!!!
Give Marines a rocket launcher so can kill it with precision instead of 6 HMG bursting... Yes well done now an Onos can die from one shot from a Rocket launcher... BALANCED???
Dont let Onos devour HA... Thats the whole point they eat the HA because his armour is too thick to gore him to death...

Well done... Make it so a HIT AND RUN alien cant HIT AND RUN... Balance...
Im sorry if this seems like im flaming but... Think before you post stupid ideas and atleast have some concept of Natural Selection game play... This is no Balancing this is totaly converting the game to be Marine Bias.

1: I think the flamethrower could be a good addition, but not that way you say. Make flames not burn more than 3-4 seconds, and not very much damage (a little more than LMG) Then you had a weapon to scan for cloaked like pyro scanning for spy's

3: Aliens research? Amount of timespan it takes to research is good enough. Always depressing to look at a perfect and full researched base. 4: Grenade launcher is good enough.
5: Actually, its a good idea, but make aliens able to do it too. This would make bases more secure, and able to do more defensive structures. (i think theres to few). They have it in tremolus (i think its spelled that way), an alien vs marines game to, and they have those there. Discussable
6: no, would only be used very VERY rare, and no good reason (takes a looong time to become onos, and then it should die by the first marine?)
7: they have motion tracking already. Are you suggesting for seeing cloaked? Then i would more like the flamethrower. Motion tracking is already good enough

10: well we would need more weapons for that right? But then the jetpack would need something too

2: the good thing about fade is he can blink. Lets strip marines from their armor shall we?

5: no, their only weakness is health, so don't make them better than that.

It will be added in NS2, but (hopefully) devs have a different role for this weapon, rather than it to be the fade-pwner.
About the rest, we truly appreciate the fact that you have put an effort to register and write this lengthy post. However, play NS longer a bit, read what you can on this forum (I recommend you the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103400&hl=kill+fades" target="_blank">'How do I kill Fades?" thread</a>), <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/wiki/index.php/Main_Page" target="_blank">NS wiki</a>, <a href="http://www.nsdojo.net/fparticle.php?&cat=3" target="_blank">NS Dojo</a>, <a href="http://nslearn.readyroom.org/" target="_blank">NSLern</a>?, etc.
I am sure that after you will develop some general awareness of how NS really works you won't be so eager to introduce the changes you proposed above.

Play the game more and try plying gathers, the game is very different with no plugins 6v6 teams and organised gameplay.
