    Anyway, nothing bad will happen. The black-holes should (will) evaporate within a fraction of a second from hawkings radiation. iirc, this thing was actually supposed to be done last year but numerous setbacks have driven the eta to later this year or early next year.

    I think it's time to stand back and let the boffins that understand this gauff do their business. A zillion demi-knowledgeable posers poncing about randomly adding words like "quark" and "boson" to their sentences without any real understanding of their meaning won't help anyone.

    I, for one, think we'll discover some new facet of gravity, or re-interpret our observations of the universe, and do away with all this stupid "dark matter" sillyness. Mark my words, within ten years we'll look back in shame.

    you should read more, the magnets broke because a engineer was a new###### and did not make the supports correctly. I'm sure the magnets they are using are strong enough to rip a pen through your chest from across the room XD

    It was something like 2 billion degrees (for a split instant) compared to the sun's rather cool 30 million (disclaimer: numbers may not stand up to closer inspection).
