    They will come out with as many movies as Valve, Gearbox, EA, DICE, Relic, 2k Games, Gas Powered Games, Nintendo, PopCap Games, Raven, id Software, Bohemia Interactive, Flying Lab Software, Introversion, Remedy, Stardock, Rockstar, Epic, Lucasarts, and all the other game developers make.

    The only resemblance between SMB and the SMB movie is they carry the same name, where on does it proudly and the other poops all over it. That movie was beyond bad!

    But nobody is ever going to buy the rights to an NS movie, at least until "Alien" becomes public domain, obviating Fox's ability to sue the crap out of whoever makes the movie.

    Exactly, not saying NS isn't a good game but there is really nothing special about the (lack of) plot or characters. Besides it's not that popular.

    The universe is sufficiently detailed (or conversely, vague, depending on your interpretations) that a good story could come from it.
    <a href="http://www.monkeysociety.com/Monster/IndexHigh.htm" target="_blank">Here</a> is a somewhat decent example of someone taking the NS premise and running with it.

    I'd love to see a movie based on NS, as long as it's not made by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uwe_Boll" target="_blank">Uwe Boll</a>. Or by the guy who made <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419706/" target="_blank">Doom (the movie)</a>.
