<div class="IPBDescription">Cheap and effective.</div> Back in the 2nd WW when the russians fought the germans they very low on resources, bet they
had wasted it all on turretfarms.
They had about 1 rifle for every five soldiers, so when one went down his buddy picked his rifle
up and continued to fight.
Well, not very efficent it might seem, but cheap as hell. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
As a commander I sometimes use this strategy, in midgames when Fades start to popup like mushrooms
I hand out 1 or 2 shotguns and order a charge. I tell my marines to pick up the shotgun once their buddies
die, which they most likely will. (hopefully they will smash a fade before they die)
And when they are dead their fellow marines can pick up their weapons and kill of the last fades, that way
I only need to spend minimal resources to kill of those blasted Fades.
One shotgun or two is all you need, dont waste resources to give them to all players, use the rest for
upgrades so the backup marines with LMGs and pistol will take some more damage and deal some more
in return.
Works for me, bet it will work for you. Go with the russian style, oil, sweat and blood <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm also sick of people begging for a HMG, they run off and die, respawn and beg for another one... Uhh, dude, your old one is still out there, go get it! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I have one nifty story about killing a fade russian style though,
it was on ns_eclipse. We were basicly dead.. fades comming from every direction.
after spawning I run to the right hand door in base and hide behind the wall, waiting to get the jump on some alien. Meanwhile a hmg wielding la marine walks towards me. Just as he passes infront of the door a fade opens it, he backs away towards my side of the door while firing away. As soon as the fade comes through the door to rip apart the hmg marine, I open fire. The fade makes quick work of the marine turns to look at me decides i'm not worth it and starts to run. I run over to the HMG now on the floor pick it up and just as the fade makes it to the base door I unload the rest of the clip into his back and.. SPLAT.. dead fade.
fun. Go russia! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
