The forum clock is now off by almost fifteen minutes

Who should I poke about this? It's probably the server's internal clock that needs to be adjusted.

And I have an atomic clock that sets itself which is always off by 10. It doesn't even let me change its time, because it's so sure that it's always right. But it's always off by 10.

Is that what happens when a clock discovers religion?

To the mod who inevitably locks this: Please notify the person in charge that the clock needs to be adjusted. Thank you.

Aww, no locks. This thread is a valueable resource to those of us who need to know what clocks will do when they become self aware.

What would a clock that thinks do with itself? What if they do think and we just don't know because they can't tell us?

What if I die and am reincarnated as a clock, how do I die? Am I stuck as a clock forever?

    I need to know!

Wrong forum, belongs in Web Site Feedback. Regardless, this is easily adjustable in the ACP / TOOLS & SETTINGS / Date & Time Formats / Server Time Adjustment (in minutes). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

Clocks are people too Scythe; I find your approach — most likely as a result of mis-informed public glorification of the uncommon event of an axe-wielding clock — to do nothing more than demonise what I (and I'm sure many of the rest of the population of this forum) find as an almost entirely pleasant sub-section of furniture.

    Shame on you. Shame.

P.S. Wrong forum, belongs in Web Site Feedback.

While the ACP would work for now, it would only be a band-aid fix for the moment. The server would end up getting further and further behind, and the ACP would constantly need updating. It seems like a better idea to fix the server time issue.

It's unlikely the time will vary enough over the course of a year to even bother support for. I haven't even updated my ACP in two years and it's less than a minute off.

I'm guessing that the server isn't set up properly to keep a synchronized clock. It was off by like 4 minutes about 3 months ago (whenever the last TWG was, I know it came up during the game), and now it's off by 13 minutes. Something is broken (although only slightly) with the server, so ideally that's where it should be fixed, though maybe it's considered simpler to update the ACP every month or so if it doesn't affect anything else.

So are we up to 44 minutes and the problem is accelerating or is it only 16 minutes because the forum doesn't know DST.
