The choice between that girl and WoW is simple because that girl wins hands down every time.

You would be surprised how often people don't choose the girl in these situations.

Not too funny, there's one video about a couple on the Tyra Banks show and the guy plays WoW excessively. Eventually Tyra has him put the CDs through a paper shredder with a large smirk on his face. Most of the video comments were:

"He's smiling because he knows he doesn't need the CDs to play."

Just because she's a pretty girl doesn't mean anything. Apparently WOW was more interesting then she was.

He probably left her because her storyline was weak, her gameplay was boring, and she had little to no endgame content.

Pretty girls keep me interested, although the fact she has female parts and reacts like a female in the bedroom was more my concern.

Who is she? Is she even a real judge? I rummaged around youtube a little and came across another video. I had to turn it off after a few minutes because she was behaving so unprofessionally it HURT. *I* could have been more professional than her. What, did she have her license revoked because of unprofessional conduct so she has to conduct faux trials on tv now?

First, yes, she's a real judge. Just because she's not uptight or professional doesn't mean she somehow has no ability to rule on matters of law. If you're wedded to decorum to the degree that she actually hurts you, that's your business, but don't think for a moment that professionality has some sort of bearing on the law. These aren't "faux trials." They're arbitration, just as binding as any other arbitration that's not televised, and she does this instead of her old job probably because it pays a lot more, I'd guess.
• lolfighterlolfighter Snark, Dire Join Date: 2003-04-20 Member: 15693Members
Professionalism includes such things as sticking to the point. Let's say the litigant claims that the defendant smashed the window on his car with a baseball bat. The litigant's lawyer details at length how the defendant never visits her elderly mother. The litigant's lawyer is reprimanded for this by the judge. Why? Because it is completely irrelevant for the case, and could be an attempt to debase the defendant. That's unprofessional conduct.

Similarly, when Madam Sheindlein rants at a defendant for not having a job when this bears no relevance to the case, that is an audacious lack of professionalism.

Panem et circenses.

I know it's not professional. What you haven't detailed is how this matters at all, aside from getting on your nerves, which I guess matters to you, but it doesn't matter to me and it sure as heck doesn't matter to people who agree to binding arbitration by Judge Judy. And that bread and circuses bit you threw in has no relation to anything, although it's a pretty good example of "professionalism," as far as the word means "throwing Latin phrases around."

Actually, WoW isn't all that bad, except the pay per month and undeep game play that is.
If you play it CASUALLY, there is no problem at all.

Since when am I here to pander to YOU or to all the other sheep watching this drivel? I merely express my profound annoyance at her contemptible lack of professionalism. But for that matter, I could also launch into tirades about the people retarded enough to actually bring their cases onto this show. I'd rather not waste my time though.

But what really gets me is the shock and horror that people display when I say I don't watch day-to-day television. How they can watch this stuff without suffering an aneurism is beyond me.

You don't need to pander to me. I was just trying to get you to see that just because her lack of professionalism is something that you find contemptible doesn't mean she's any less of a judge. Just because people don't do things the way you think they should do things doesn't mean they're wrong. It means they're different. I don't remember displaying any shock and horror at the fact that you don't watch day-to-day TV. I don't watch any TV. That has nothing to do with Judge Judy.
