I have a useless XP installation taking up space on a non essential (to Vista) partition, but I can't delete it. I noticed that Vista's boot manager recognized XP, so that's probably why. UAC is off. Is there anything I can do about this short of formatting the entire partition?

That's a tough one. I have no expereince with this kind of problem, but if you can't find an "uninstall Windows XP" option buried somewhere, your best bet is just to back up the files and format the partition. At least, that's as far as I know. Hopefully someone else will have a solution.

I've got no free space and 100 gigs of files I don't want to let go of.
You could go in and delete all the Windows XP stuff by hand. It'll break the install pretty badly but free up some space <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

In Vista it says "Access denied" and obviously I can't do it from XP.

I need to be have admin access? I'm sure, somewhere that makes sense.

BTW: It's happened for me before. And the full game worked. So, my computer has problems...

YAY! You typed a sentence with proper grammar and sentence structure <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Since I get tired of trying to go through every thread and prune specific posts, and since it looks like some of the questions were already answered, and since this thread looks like it will go downhill soon, I'll go ahead and take care of things.
In the future, lets try to avoid the all caps and big text.
