WTF! BS!
Shirts, caps, stickers and EVEN BABY BIBS!

F THAT! I want my plush toys!! I want my skulk and marine that I can cuddle w/ while I go to bed! I want siege cannons and turret plushes (or like a small little thing made outta rubber like a stress reliever type thing)! I want the Lerk so that I can dangle it with a string from my ceiling! I also want some more skulks and marines and hang the skulks on corners and under things and also above my door frame! I want the marines on my desk and on top of my PC and such!

I WANT MY F'ING D4MN PLUSH TOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!11

    If you read the other thread about making Coil's art into cuddly little aliens you have seen one of the Dev's saying it would cost too much too make at the moment. People need to buy the current stuff to get the money for more stuff.

    Hey, I'd buy a plush Skulk. Already adopted one here on the forums.. Darwin. Though yeah.. small-batch runs of them would cost upward of $200 per unit, factoring in a 100 run of each, and including design and patterning costs. And that's per-species.

    Though I may have to see about putting together a model-hacking list.. easiest would probably be the Marine structures out of stuff like Gundam parts. Just cut the part you want free, find a suitable match from another (or even the same, if one is available) model kit, and glue them together. Paint. Congratulations, you now have a Sentry Turret after painting, good to toss up on your shelf or keep on your monitor to watch your back from any skulks that might be sneaking up on you while playing NS. Like Darwin.

    Hmm. Perhaps for Marines you could just put together a GI Joe outfit pack. Wouldn't be too different. Though a chibi Skulkie would be sooooo *cute*! Plus, something to weird out your friends with.

    Friend: "What's that thing? A dog?"
    You: "No, it's a cute li'l hunter-killer who wants to rip open your abdomen and feast upon the deliciously slimy sweetmeats and loops of entrails within! Raaar!"

    And I can *so* see a teddy-Gorge. They're already cuddly in the game.. just close the mouth/beak, add velvet and stuffing, and you have something perfect to give a baby that you want to warp for their later years.

    Friend: "Awww.. that's so sweet! What is that.. a stuffed turtle?"

    Both of these situations made me chuckle out loud. Imagine the situation yourself. It helps to say the lines. Especially the Raar part. Imagine you're holding a stuffed skulks and Raar-ing it on your friend.

    Dangit, I want a plush chibi-skulkie! And it'd be *great* to put a chuckling Skulk above my door, looking down.. anyone who walked through the door, *heh heh heh*. I KNOW a few of my friends would look up and _freak_.

    Though skulk lovin' could end up being a problem, with how many <b>non</b>-specialized plushes are modified for SPH usage. Though would prolly get Marine players buying those, just so they *could* finally 'nail that d*mn skulk', solo.

    I think that it is absolutely essencial that we have plushes right away. And, it is just as imperative that the skulk chuckles when you squeeze em'. Perhaps Flayra should set up some pre-order scheme for them and see how many people are interested.

    I think some honest research into cost is in order (I've seen some accurate-looking numbers thrown around, but has anybody actually gotten into contact with an actual plush producer?). Figure out how many people need to pay how much for what, and then pre-order?     There's actually tools specifically for unfolding 3D models into cardstock cut-and-paste models, keeping the textures intact. :-)

    So yes, you could make a cut-and-fold paperweight version of the Armory or similair quite easilly. =^.^=

    yes YES <b>GOD YES</b> I want a chuckling skulk right now! Set up some pre-orders and figure out if its at ALL possible. I could even do w/o the chuckle voice chip. Besides how can you put a price on a stuffed skulk?

    Alot of people would have to want one, because the smaller the order the way more expensive it will cost. An actual size Skulk shouldn't require too much material to make, but embedding a sound chip will be something you have to discuss with the manufacturer.

    That isn't the only site though. There are others, some of which handle small request orders.
