Anyone have any old demos from pre-2.0 days? id like to add them to my collection. im searching for specifically those from the first international games with the US allstars and such. Please PM me if you have any that you can send my way.

    If you could be bothered to check the directories before asking, you'd quickly find the answer you were looking for.

    In answer to your question: Yes and no. There are a few 1.04 demos there (The first TeamEU vs. TeamUSA match (Continental Exhibitions), for example), but most of the demos are 3.0b1 or later. This is due to the unfortunate fact that 1.04 HLTVs didn't work properly (not at all really, from what I can remember) and very few people bothered to save firstperson demos. I've been trying to gather as many as possible, but it's a slow process. If you have any that you can't find on there already, and feel like sharing, let me know and I'll give you some ftp details so you can upload them.

    But to play these demos, don't you need the exact version of NS as used in the demo?

    Correct. If you look at the names of the demo files, or the details.txt file included in each archive, you'll see that it lists which version the demo was recorded in. I know that a couple of them might be wrong (3.0b3 listed as 3.0b4 for example), but 95% of them should be correct and I'm working to make sure mistakes are corrected.
