please avoid allowing this to become an issue of "whose scheduling norm is more important" and make the appropriate arrangements. both teams are working within offline time constraints. annih has already designated alternate commanders and backups. additionally, the declared window for the match has been understood for two weeks now.

So who beat who on what map and what server? Was it more of a server/lag due steamroll, overpowered team steamroll or imba map steamroll?

a criminal lack of sportsmanship from the americans- ranging from choosing both servers (and refusing to use any of the 3 east coast servers) to using the ANSL final cheats killed a match which wasn't even that entertaining. all rounds except for the first veil round were milk run games.

but pat on the back to jiriki and hawthorne for arranging the game.

    [edit]

tmk- arguably our best 2 marines, zharp and Willa, wouldn't even play on that server as they had ~200ms latency. if we had used them, the average ping would have shot up more.

Hopefully next time we can get all USeast players, a USeast server so the Euros have 'ok' ping, and more than one decent com lined up...such as:

Shoulda-Been roster (not sure if all these players are east coast/central): Dante, Steve, Freight, Civ, Tope, Chuck, Duo, Deimos, Mario, Neb, Golden, Silverwolf, kfR, Pfhor and maybe 1-2 others.
Shoulda-Been com roster: Coerci, Kmart, Dirm, Furious, Adj, Chiller in no particular order.

But whatever, what do I know? West coasters should definitely play w/ their 200/100 ping so that the Euros have a chance to kill Mak's and Enigma's laggy fades/rines. Right? Look at what happened to the Euro's when they had 170 ping...LOL. 200 ping will surely win the day!

sherpa you again fail to realize that the server we ended up playing on was better than the prevert server. they are both central, but ###### actually regs on the <bad> server, unlike the prevert server.

if we had an available east server we couldve used it, but honestly the <bad> server is the best regging server in our arsenal of all central servers.

if you want to talk criminal, then how about how you guys got to play on your server first? how come WE had to wake up to play while your team had several scrims under your belt. why is it that the americans always have to cater to the europeans as far as timing? would it have been that bad if the match was played 2-3 hours later?

funny thing with afk on origin.
Milo i guess you're satisfied with winning 2 rounds against laggy euroes when you had 90 ping on euro srv xD
And i don't see any way to play ns game at 3 am, 4 for finns cause you want to play several scrims before...
anyway fairlplay doesn't aply to team na

im not trying to cause drama. im merely stating the fact that the euro team went into the match warmed up and has been scrimming all day while the americans had 4 people wake up to play when 3 of those 4 were hung over.

aa you need to stop comparing pings ok. there wasnt any large difference in pings between yours and ours. and again we used the best american server in our arsenal. ok? enough with the ping talk.

we bent over backwards for you.

as for the time of the match- all we asked is that the match finished before midnight sunday- i have a 9-5 job, and the finns all have jobs/school; asking to not start the working week as an insomniac isn't asking too much.

as for playing on our server first- fans of football ("soccer") now that's preferable to play your home match at the end. i didn't want to play first, but we had just finished a euro scrim when you guys joined so we kicked off on the euro server.

as for servers- i'd like reasons why you wouldn't play on prevert, penguin and the 3rd east coast server (i think it's called sphere?). hawthorne told me your team wouldn't play on prevert for choke reasons. as far as im concerned that's not your call to make as it was decided that the euros were going to select the american server. <a href="http://www.ansl.us/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5683#5683" target="_blank">read this post from hawthorne, and read my reply on the next page for proof</a>. in true america military style (lol!) you decided to do things your way and you changed the rules to suit you. regardless- i'd at least like reasons as to why you wouldn't play the other 2 servers. bear in mind that hawthorne chose the dutch ENSL server for you to play on- and finns (we used 3 in the first half) would much rather play on an NSFI server as they get choke+latency on the ENSL server- but they planned on without complaint.

whilst we're throwing fireballs at each other- can u explain the 2nd round restart? seeing as how there were no afk marines in base i'd like to read something like "we were delaying for Coerci- thanks for letting us replay after going 0-4, and thanks for waiting 35 minutes between the rounds" rather than "afk marine"

funny afk guy who went to laser and got owned by myself just after i killed 3 of your sg team, after we killed your cc you said he was afk, chuckers was it? we accepted to replay it and then you just showed true yourself by choosing a rly bad srv for us, when like sherpa said hawtrohne decided to use ensl srv for your best pings. fairplay i'd say?
