I really hate it when people say stuff like "Hosted on OC-12 connection" or "it's hosted on a 100mbit connection" because it's plainly a false/clueless claim to try and drive more traffic to your site/server. Don't do it, please.

Just because your Charter cable modem account sips bandwidth from Charter communications entire OC-12 connection does not mean you have unadulterated access to a OC-12, do you even have any idea how much an OC-12 goes for? Well here's a sample pricing list for you to digest, yes that's $134,912 per MONTH. I love how your webpage for elitegamingservers.net has the claim of "14 dedicated oc-12s" -- so you pay approx 22 million a year for your connections? I didn't think so.

Btw, your server's down...Oh I'm sorry, your server must be down now because you went bankrupt your first month, that 1.88 Mil a month must be killer on your profits.

On a similar note, if I see one more admin claiming to be on a 100mbit connection I'm going to freak out. Let me clue you people in, just because the little blinky light on your ethernet card next to the 100 is green doesn't mean you have that bandwidth to the internet. Most players don't give a flying fart what connection you have as long as they don't lag and have fun.

The cool part about running an ISP is I can say "my server has a DS3 connection" and basically mean it. Well, two FastE hops away, but I sure don't rate-limit my own toys

'course, I'm also conservative with what I actually do use, as the money that pays for the connection is indirectly my own pocket...

yeah, i hate stats. That's why I always say mine's hosted on a "phat .edu pipe". People get the message

So the owner of these servers was pulled into the armed forces a few years ago, the reason as to why the servers went down back then. He is recently back, however, and is restarting his hosting solutions for game servers.

To answer the post discussing the oc-12 connection, the servers are hosted in a very large datacenter in the usa, the same place a lot of ISPs tap in their connections as well.

Prices for servers are very reasonable, at around 30-40 per server, unless you'd like a clan package, which will run you more, but also supply a website, forum, voice program, and email server.

Just an update, there will be more to come in the future, and of course at elitegamingservers.net, which isn't up just yet.
