The underlined part is the part the concerns me, Unfortunately i do not have MIRC set up to make logs so i cannot show you what happned in the chatroom (i really gotta set mirc to start logging things)
I did nothing, he kickbanned me for no reason, or the only reason is he didnt like me, and i believe that is op power abuse, and he admits it as you can see above...
Basically we were discussing the drawviewmodel exploit and there were some disagreements, misunderstandings...etc.
Finally i proved him wrong on something and i said
"now do you understand? or are you going to kickban me for proving you wrong?"
unfortuenately the latter part was true and.....
he said "no, but ill kickban for other reasons"
Please unban me,

By the way, to get unbanned its usually as easy as /msging an op in there.

It is to an article which calls into question the security of Linux and other open source projects.
Someone in the channel disagreed with me. Prodigy-lv made a statement about the article being worthless, I asked him why, he said it was because of the extent of control Microsoft has over the media(I restated it much more eloquently). I disagreed, asking him to prove it. He said he was too lazy. I then said that I will disregard is opinion on this subject. If I want to listen to people spout meaningless conspiracy theories about Microsoft i'll go somewhere else. Seeing that noone else was talking about this I stopped watching the window. I notice maybe 10 minutes ago that I don't see the tab on mIRC. I see these messages in the gamesnet.net window:

I did not say anything offensive, nor insult this op in any way. I just went and did other things when I realized the conversation wasn't going anywhere, and I got banned. Anyone feel like explaining this? Or perhaps more care should be taken in screening channel operators.
I really would hate to see this happen as it would alienate much of the community. You could be right, though.

This on its own shows the lack of knowledge these people have, auto-update technology is neither sophisticated or rare in the linux world, it's a fact however that most sysadmins prefer to patch their software when they believe the new release is stable. It's one of the first rules of networking aswell, never apply a v1.0 version to ANY router/Switch etc or youw ill have downtime.

Exactly what is the point of haveing a IRC room for a game mod, If ppl cant talk or express they're opions, and discuss things?
If this was just one or two ppl complaining, I'd just write them off as typical idiots who screw'd up, and think they have some god-given right todo what they want. But seeing as that is obviously not the case. I would think the NS dev team should look into it. Now I don't know anything about the NS team, But its not leaving a good first impression. After all, the actions of thoose they pick to represent them in a irc channel or anywhere, directly reflects on them.
