Where Did You Hear About Ns From?

Just post where you heard about the gaming phenomenon known as NS. Also guys as a personal favor send emails / letters to gaming magazines telling them to have a story on NS. The world needs to know about this mod.


Anyways I heard about NS about a month before it was released. On a TFC clan messageboard he dropped a link the the NS website and said to dload the trailor. Ten minutes later I almost crapped my pants at the trailor. I knew something huge was coming. I didn't actually get my hands on NS until about a week after it was released though (stupid schoolwork).

    Someone at another HL mod forum I go to posted it about 6 months. Been following it since then. Dl'ed first hour it was out from RedPhive. :] I play it daily. I love it. Joined the forum recently though, and post rarely.

    I've been following since my brother Aldaris (forum name, thats obviously not his real name <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ) saw it on PHL and told me about it back in April/May.

    Just BTW, i'm fairly sure PC Gamer (UK) will be doing something about NS next issue. Also, a better way would be to post on the magazines forums about it.

    Lemme think. I think somebody said that NS sucks, so I wanted to check it out. Just kidding. Hmm I don't remember. Maybe while I was playing DOD someone mentioned NS. Oh and the trailer helped to make me want to check it out.

    When I first started, the graphics blew me away, even though I was getting creamed in the game. If the game had sucked I would have stopped playing it because getting your face bitten off 10 times in a row is no fun. But I persevered.

    I maintain the chat servers for Tribes and Tribes 2 and I saw quite a few Tribes players talking about NS in various chat rooms. I thought it sounded pretty cool (combo RTS/FPS), and one of my admins got hooked on it, and convinced me to give it a try. (His name here is PJ-)
