<div class="IPBDescription">How I got interested, and why I now shadowbox like an idiot</div>For a long time, I used to associate MMA with brutality, a legacy harkening back to the old school days of the UFC, before there were any regulations concerning weight classes, getting punched in the groin, etc. It wasn't until about the end of 2005, when I first saw a highlight compilation of a fighter named Fedor Emelianenko that my interest was perked. To be sure, it could still be violent, but it wasn't the same sort of Philistine ROID SMASH that I once sought. It looked fascinating and complex, like ballet with bruisings. More than just the fights themselves, I really enjoy the ambience and character types that sometimes go into these exhibitions.
Without further ado, I'm going to post some of my favourite MMA fights, entrances, staredowns, KOs, submissions, highlights, etc. I'll be adding more to this thread as I go along.

Hmm, I may have my franchises confused. Either way, when these matches turn into real fights instead of grope-fests, they're pretty good.
