Getting a MAPP gas torch
<div class="IPBDescription">Recommendations for surfaces safe to use it on?</div>So the topic pretty much says it all, but what surfaces would be recommended for use with a blowtorch. It would seem easy at first but I got conflicting reports about it on the web, such as avoiding concrete. Any advice would be great.
I am using this to
A) Melt things
B) Burn things
C) Smelt down glass
and many other fun activities involving high heat application.
MAPP gas torches can reach:
5000F in a pure oxygen ignition. (fun fact, irrelevant since I am not using oxygen + MAPP)
3650F in air ignition. (expected temperature)
So, after checking with Lowe's and Home Depot, neither had any type of heat resistant/reflective ceramics, and they didn't sell anything else that seemed suitable. If anyone has done anything of this type before, I could use some advice.
