    I hate to tarnish a legacy here, but I couldn't stand it anymore, I had to google it for justice... and it turns out <a href="http://dayofdefeat.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-50474.html" target="_blank">our beloved scorpian was all a hoax</a>.

    Quick idea to counter a jumping Onos: spike pits.

    Let the Marines set up small patches of long, narrow spikes (lets say a 10 foot square with spikes 8 feet tall and 3 feet apart) to impale an onos that unwittingly jumps on any marines that might be standing within the spike field. The spikes must be tall and narrow so Marines and lower lifeforms can maneuver within the field and fall down between the spikes without being injured themselves.

    It would be somewhat analogous to webs, except it would be fatal for Onoses; other lifeforms would be unaffected. Perhaps they could even run through the base of the spikes to destroy them, allowing for safe passage of an Onos.

    I don't really know of any funny stupid suggestions since I haven't been a member on here long, but when I first started playing NS I was very close to coming on here and suggesting to remove the fade's fade ability and replacing it with the ability to walk through walls. So here:

    Since it's my thread that's being mentioned, I'll concur that I meant female models only for marines. Customizable, individualized models was one of the objectives being discussed. Of course this thread is based around sarcastic humor so I suppose it's expected.

    and besides, the marines dont have their "tackle out" so to speak, so their genitalia isnt visible either. for all you know they could be asexual clones, and be completely devoid of "meat & potatoes". just because they look male, doesnt mean they are.
