Wow. That was the closest I've seen a game trailer get to acting like a movie trailer. If it'd just give a few more specifics other than showing off completely awesome animation & graphics, it'd be even better.
For the record, at the end, the russian says: "All wars are lies."

Edit: and since when do you speak Russian?
And Tycho: I don't. But Digg is a useful thing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Maybe some better graphics, bigger maps, more opponents, but it's still the same ole FPS. Gimme some realism please!
Unfortunately, that's not what's going to happen when you actually get to play it. If you really want to know what this, Crysis or the new Halo are going to be, go watch or play some CS 1.6. That's about as glorifying as these games will be.

The point of the original Call of Duty was purely cinematics. Moments that made you feel like you were in some huge, orchestrated scene.
Halo is about tactics and how to handle things correctly. If you want to dumb it down to a point + click, be my guest, but me cutting off your only path away from my bullets with a grenade, leaving you nothing but death awaiting, is tactics. And more, to boot.
...and if you're saying Crysis is gonna be just another counter-strike, you just haven't seen the gameplay videos. Seriously, try harder.
It feels like I'm already frustrated with the game.
Why? I knew they can't rehash Normandy forever, but, aw forget it. The series was dead to me since CoD2

There hasn't even been an Infinity Ward CoD title since CoD2. How can it be dead to you when it hasn't attempted to live?

I didn't like CoD2. The last CoD I can say I truly enjoyed was CoD: UO.
Maybe "modern" warfare just doesn't do it for me...

Game trailers are about as reliable as those burger king commercials that show an attractive burger in the commercial, yet when you get it, it looks like it was run over by a car.
It's a hype machine and some people aren't able to realize that it shows nothing about how it will play, which will be the exact same as the last CoD, the last Battlefield, the last CS.
Another FPS, a new setting, some more weapons and some better looks. Woopee. I'm playing a half-life 1 mod, which has a lot more depth and innovation than this million dollar joke of a game.
I'm just wondering how many suckers can keep playing the same game, without realizing all they did is add 3 more pixels into a soldier's foot. At least Madden doesn't try to hide that they rehash everything from last year.

Not every game has to strive to be innovative. NS is still my favorite game. Doesn't mean I shouldn't spend my time playing a movie.
e/ the entire point of trailers are to generate sales, not to show you exactly what you're buying and let you decide whether you want to buy it or not. please learn the entire point of advertising?
Smood is quite possibly the most pessimistic and narcyssistic(sp?) person I have ever had the misfortune of hearing speak :/

Well, it makes me sick. You throw me a picture of a carls jr. burger and I laugh when I actually buy one at the store. It's fake. It's annoying. They need to do us a favor and speak, "Featuring the same gameplay you've seen in CoD 1, 2 and 3! Except now your finger on your hand models aren't stuck to each other!"
Pessimistic... um. I don't think I am. Well, I prefer to be more neutral on things, unbiased I guess. I'm a completely different guy online than onfoot. At school, I'm more of the passive weird guy who gets good grades, then on the pc, I fight people in games or on forums. I want to be optimistic and I am with my friends, but... when I'm alone, I tend to not do things I have to do, feel guilty about not doing them, not get enough sleep...
Try as I might, I really, really do attempt to read Quaunaut's posts, but I always get distracted by the scantily clad women everywhere. Damnit!!

Thank you, I finally have something quote worthy for myself!
Smood: Its the first trailer. I doubt they even have a single level near complete. Breathe, in, out.

It's not like they're gonna be making a new trailer that shows actual game-play once the levels are complete.

They aren't? Infinity did for CoD1- dozens. Same with CoD2. Treyarch didn't for 3 'cause console kiddies tend to ignore trailers 90% of the time.

Read: Sarcasm.
BUT whatever. Creativity doesn't make the world go 'round like money does, I guess.
