Commander Orders

Hey everyone !

I have just a question. I saw few days ago a commander telling us the following order "Get the equipment there". I had never seen that before, in game, and in tutorials... Then I decided to go commander on another game to try it -but also to train me as comm <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> -, but I didn't manage to give this order.

Do you know how to do that ?

    It's just extremely buggy, but I know there are some plugins out there that enable you to do it more often. There's also a "weld here" icon which became pretty much obsolete with the advent of the minimap, since weldables are clearly pointed out.

    I do believe that those plugins no longer work.

    Makes me wonder though, will that waypoint ever be implented? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
    It would be an usefull feature.

    afaik, it happens by default if you give a waypoint to a piece of equipment. However its extremely tricky to get it right on and hence create the 'get equipment' waypoint - thus its very rare. I believe if you make say a shotgun pile somewhere you can sometimes manage to get it.

    I think I could count the number of times I've heard "Pickup equipment at waypoint" on one hand. Best thing to do is just put the WP as close to the equip as you can. Also if you say "Get your shotgun at base" you'd be amazed how well people follow THAT order <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    screaming "get the ****ing guns at base and phase and shoot the ****ing hive" over mic seems to work on public.

    Unfortunately, failing to have a mic in a public match as com = phail.
