Cadbury sucks at easter

Cadbury chocolate needs to understand...an egg is not two disconnected half-shells that fall apart when the foil is taken off. An egg is a bloody EGG! Eggs don't have seams down the middle, so why make chocolate eggs that don't show any evidence of even trying to pretend it isnt two pieces of chocolate put together.

This is the 2nd cadbury egg I have had and both have just fallen into two pieces when the foil is taken off. My easter would be RUINED were it not for my Lindor egg which beautifully had the two pieces of chocolate glued together.

My opinion of cadbury is really diving, not only for the above reason but also cos...well, their chocolate sucks!

    I am assumign you are talking about hollow eggs, as the only cadbury eggs I am familiar with are stuffed full of nasty sugar substance ("creme"eggs)

    Have to remember that in the usa cadbury does not have any where near the avalability that it has in England, even the large candy stores (Econemy Candy, NYC) don't cary that much.

    Oh, and I will agree, Cabury sucks, but that is jsut b/c most of their stuff is milk chocolate (god I can't stand the stuff)

    Up here some company empties actual chicken eggs and fills them up with milk chocolate. I'm not a fan of sweets, but you gotta hand it to them, it's a great idea. The kids paint them all up on easter day eve, then I hide them. Next morning everything is covered in chocolatey fingerprints and everyone is high on sugar.

    I only go for the milk chocolate egg covered in the hard sugar shell (...double dose of unhealthiness, woot), because the cream eggs are just kind of ...blech. I mean, they're not even that bad, but you crack one open, and then you're just kind of bored with it after a bite or two.

    ...still better than the hollow chocolate bunnies that taste like ######. Stale chocolate and a hollow, foul smelling inside? Sign me up for that.

    ...I still say we should have chocolate crucified Jesuses and some nice chocalate Jesus'-tomb-covering boulders for Easter. No more of these peeps and rabbits and eggs.

    I just want to reiterate because I think this is important;

    [attachmentid=35649]

    This is an egg. A real one; but a chocolate one stuck together down the middle would suffice; it is an egg.

    [attachmentid=35650]

    This is not an egg. Eggs do not come in two halfs, ever. So, when twice running I unwrap the foil around my large Cadbury egg and it immedately falls into two pieces, both times....then I don't consider it an egg. Cadbury sucks, and I'm probably walking all over the works of many underpaid slave-like workers in the amazon or whatever poor country this chocolate comes from...

    Fair trade chocolate for all!

    Um Merkaba considering Cadburys easter eggs have been going 2 for 1 and very low prices this year in supermarkets I must say, what do you expect?

    You pay for quality you get quality, you got that in one egg.

    You pay cheaply you get cheap goods, you got that in Cadbury.

    Top tip of the day, spend a bit more money and you're personal happiness will grow all day <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    We were going through an airport on the way back to our home town for easter. We got to the x-ray and metal detector. We both put our bags through and walked through the detector. The asked Michelle to open up her bag for them to check something. She opened it, they walked off with her bag. They brought it back in a minute or so. She looked in her bag to discover that they'd BROKEN HER EASTER BUNNY IN HALF. Presumably to look inside for drugs.

    Bumholes!

    British chocolate owns all that bland rank tasting euro chocolate!

    As for someone whining about his egg falling apart, boo hoo grow up ffs, Easter Eggs are for kids and giving a solid egg of chocolate to a 4 year old that's the size of their head then expecting them to eat it is harsh and will result in a mess when they smash it or it melts all over them. Kids can hold half the egg with ease and munch away.

    My favourite easter memories as kid was smashing the egg open and picking it apart, so I don't think you're quite on the ball there.

    You can tell me to grow up but I think I'm right; eggs should appear to be one whole, that's the whole point...not having eggs as a whole is just tacky, because its only an egg for as long as its in its wrapping. You could say 'what does it matter?', but I think it -does- matter; easter eggs are tradition, and the whole process should be respected! If it isn't, then I think it just adds insult to injury over the whole reason why easter exists.

    But I am well aware that not everyone thinks like me. Well aware.

    Well, the REASON it's not a solid egg is because it's more exspensive to have solid molds the entire size of the egg, it's easier to just have a bunch of half-egg shaped depressions in a pan, and fill those individually.

    I thought that's what they did for all eggs though? The thing is that the eggs I discusesd are not sealed together at all, so they are not essentially an egg. Most eggs I remember are obviously made from two halfs, but they also spend the time to use chocolate to glue the two shells into one whole piece. Eh I'm probably being way too fussy, but as I said, I think the chocolate easter egg thing should be done right if it's done at all.

    Anyway, I'm past caring now; Easter's over!!

    Heh sometimes, yes. And I don't care that much now, but at the time I had a sudden realisation that Cadbury just aren't very good any more. But I do think small details, or rather the lack of them, matters.
