NS and vista

hello, started a thread in the support section but it seems to get little attension. Just wondering how many people are running vista here? since i built a new computer and started using vista ultimate i get problems with ns - every 30 seconds or so it says 'display doesnt support downloadable game' in the middle of the screen then goes away and comes back etc. Also sometimes the text for the scores is all green, and the hud + other things like comm buttons might be blacked out/green.

Im thinking its gonna be either the drivers im using or a problem with NS and vista. My spec is e6600 core2duo, 8800 GTX, 2x PC6400 1gb memory, 2x 7200.10 in raid 0, p5b deluxe motherboard. Im using the latest video drivers and every other game works absolutly fine without a fault so whats the deal with ns - do i need a dual boot just to play this game?

If you'd bothered to spend a little time searching the tech support forum, you'd see that setting cl_gammaramp to 0 would solve your issue.

I'd say try to be patient and wait for Nvidia to release newer drivers. Other than that, try running the game in OpenGL if it's not already.

make sure you have that set only once in the config. Go to the NS folder, make sure your config is NOT read-only. Now go in game, go to adv settings tab, and uncheck enable_gamma_ramp

    That SHOULD do it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
