Tweaking FPS

<div class="IPBDescription">Hmm...</div>A while back I had specced my Natural Selection just the way I liked it with all the nifty console tweaks like "cl_showfps 1" and "fps_max 100" and all that jazz, but I know there's more to it than that to get a higher FPS. I used to do some other inputs and saved them but I've long since forgotten what they were.

What do you guys do to increase overall performance of the game?

    change rate values.
    on steampowered.com they placed a rate script which gives general rate settings for 4 types of connections.

    Here's a thread of mine I posted long ago. May have some info on how to improve it.

    Funny thing is that the FPS flow is still not optimal. My mom's laptop has a "weaker" CPU and an ATI graphic card...
    The FPS flow is superb. I was, like, seeing every motion in slo-mo °.O
    So there's got to be a way to tweak this hehe.

    I looked over the topic and there's nothing there that would really help me increase my frames.

    I remember the 'rate' command though, but can't remember what I should set it at.
